Terms of Use

Effective September 11, 2026

Welcome to Single™. These Terms of Use & Membership Terms (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Single™, Arlen™, Discovery, Single Mingles™, and other products, features, content, experiences, and services offered by Single LLC (“Single,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, purchasing or accepting a membership, or otherwise using Single, you agree to these Terms and any policies incorporated into them, including our Privacy Policy and Community & Safety Guidelines.

1. Eligibility

Single membership and access to Arlen are available only to adults age 18 and over. You must provide accurate information about your age and eligibility. Single may collect your birthdate to confirm adult eligibility and personalize your experience.

Certain features—including Discovery, verified Single Mingles, and other restricted experiences—may have additional age, identity, relationship-status, safety, geographic, or verification requirements. Access to general Single membership does not automatically qualify you for every feature or experience.

Single may deny, restrict, suspend, or remove access to a particular feature when a member does not satisfy its eligibility requirements.

2. Membership, Pricing & Recurring Billing

Single offers paid memberships and may also offer promotional, trial, complimentary, lifetime-access, or other membership arrangements.

Your applicable membership price, billing frequency, promotional terms, and other material purchase terms will be disclosed to you before checkout or activation.

By purchasing a recurring membership, you authorize Single and its payment processor to charge the payment method you provide at the disclosed recurring rate and frequency until you cancel your membership. Recurring memberships automatically renew unless canceled before the applicable renewal date.

Membership prices do not necessarily include separately priced events, travel, lodging, tickets, merchandise, third-party products or services, or optional premium or add-on services.

3. Founding Member Pricing

Single may offer qualifying early members promotional $10-per-month-for-life Founding Member pricing.

“For life” means that the qualifying core Single membership rate will remain $10 per month for as long as the Founding Member maintains a continuously active, paid membership in good standing and remains eligible to use Single.

• Founding Member pricing is personal to the qualifying member.
• It may not be sold, assigned, shared, or transferred.
• It applies to the qualifying core Single membership only.
• Separately priced events, travel, third-party services, merchandise, premium features, or add-ons may cost extra.
• If the member voluntarily cancels and the membership ends, the Founding Member rate is forfeited.

If a recurring Founding Member payment fails, Single may provide up to 30 days for the member to correct the payment issue. If the account remains unpaid after that period, the membership may end and the Founding Member rate may be forfeited.

4. Promotions, Trials & Complimentary Access

Promotional codes, free trials, discounts, complimentary memberships, lifetime invitations, and similar offers are governed by the specific terms presented with the offer.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers are personal, nontransferable, have no cash value, and may not be sold or improperly shared.

Where a promotion converts to a paid recurring membership, the price and billing terms that will apply after the promotional period will be disclosed before enrollment.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel a recurring membership using the cancellation method Single makes available to members. Cancellation stops future renewals. After cancellation, your paid membership will ordinarily remain active through the end of the current paid billing period and will then end.

Membership payments are non-refundable. Cancellation does not provide a refund or credit for any unused portion of an already-paid membership period, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

Members may contact Single to confirm that a cancellation has been processed. If a Founding Member voluntarily cancels and the qualifying membership ends, the Founding Member promotional rate is forfeited and is not guaranteed if the member later rejoins.

6. Arlen™

Arlen is Single's AI-powered coaching, guidance, and member-support experience.

Arlen is designed to help members reflect, learn, explore resources, make decisions, and navigate areas including emotional wellbeing, physical wellbeing, social connection, financial and career matters, and dating and relationships.

Arlen is not a licensed physician, therapist, mental-health professional, attorney, financial adviser, emergency service, or other licensed professional unless Single expressly identifies a specific service as being provided by an appropriately qualified third party.

Arlen's responses are intended for general informational, educational, reflective, and coaching purposes. Artificial intelligence can misunderstand context, produce incomplete information, or make mistakes. Members should use their own judgment and obtain qualified professional assistance when circumstances warrant it.

Arlen is not a substitute for emergency services. Members experiencing an emergency or immediate threat should contact appropriate emergency or crisis resources.

Arlen may recommend, introduce, or provide information about third-party resources, partners, professionals, programs, products, or services when relevant to a member's goals. Such an introduction does not mean that Single itself provides the third-party service or guarantees its advice, availability, performance, safety, suitability, or results.

7. Discovery & Dating

Discovery is Single's member discovery and dating experience for eligible members who choose to participate.

Participation in Discovery is optional and may require completion of Single's applicable identity and relationship-eligibility verification process before a member becomes discoverable or receives access.

Members remain responsible for deciding whom they communicate with, meet, date, travel with, or otherwise interact with. Arlen does not choose dating partners for members and participation in Single does not guarantee matches, dates, relationships, compatibility, or any particular outcome.

8. Verification

Single may use verification procedures to add accountability and help determine eligibility for Discovery, verified Single Mingles, or other restricted experiences.

Depending on the member's circumstances, verification may include identity verification, relationship-status review, documentation relating to divorce or legal separation, other eligibility information, and/or personal references.

Verification means only that Single completed the applicable review process based on information reasonably available at that time.

Verification is not a guarantee or certification of a person's character, honesty, intentions, compatibility, health, financial condition, criminal history, background, conduct, or safety.

Unless Single expressly states otherwise, verification is not a comprehensive background check.

9. Personal References

Certain verification paths may require a member to provide contact information for personal references.

By submitting a reference's contact information, you represent that you are providing it for the legitimate purpose of completing Single's verification process and authorize Single or its service providers to contact that person regarding the reference request.

Reference responses reflect the reference's own knowledge and opinion. Single does not represent that references independently prove a member's relationship status, character, or safety.

10. Member Responsibilities

You agree to provide truthful and reasonably current account, eligibility, and verification information and to keep your login credentials secure.

• Do not create a materially false or deceptive profile.
• Do not impersonate another person.
• Do not provide fraudulent or altered verification information.
• Do not harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, coerce, intimidate, defraud, or intentionally harm another person.
• Do not misuse another person's private information, messages, photographs, or content.
• Do not use Single for unlawful commercial solicitation, scams, fraud, or illegal activity.
• Do not use automated systems, bots, scraping tools, or similar technology to improperly collect member information or access Single.
• Do not attempt to bypass eligibility, verification, security, account, or safety restrictions.

11. Member-to-Member Interactions

Single cannot control every statement, representation, decision, or action of individual members. Members remain responsible for deciding whether, when, where, and how to interact with another member.

Use reasonable judgment and appropriate precautions when interacting with people you meet through Single. Single does not guarantee that another member is who they claim to be in every respect or that a member will behave appropriately merely because they completed a verification process.

12. Member Content

Members may provide profile information, photographs, messages, written material, event-related content, feedback, or other content through Single.

You retain ownership of content that you own. By submitting content to Single, you grant Single a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, transmit, format, and otherwise use that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure, improve, and promote the Single service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Private Arlen conversations and verification materials are not made public merely because this operational license exists.

13. Single Mingles™, Events & Experiences

Eligible members may have access to Single Mingles and other in-person or virtual experiences.

Some experiences may be produced directly by Single. Others may be Single Community Partner Events produced, hosted, or operated by independent third parties and surfaced to eligible Single members.

Partner events remain the responsibility of the applicable organizer or provider. Third parties may establish their own pricing, registration requirements, terms, waivers, refund policies, safety rules, insurance provisions, or other conditions.

14. Assumption of Risk, Release & Hold Harmless

Participation in Single Mingles, social events, sports, recreational activities, partner-hosted activities, travel, and other in-person experiences is voluntary.

These activities may involve risks associated with physical activity, transportation, venues, equipment, food or beverages, weather, other participants, travel, and circumstances outside Single's control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, by voluntarily choosing to participate you assume the risks associated with that participation and agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Single and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, affiliates, event organizers, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from or related to your voluntary participation, except to the extent liability cannot legally be waived, released, indemnified, or limited.

Higher-risk activities may require a separate activity-specific waiver or acknowledgment before participation.

15. Third-Party Services & Partners

Single may provide access, introductions, links, referrals, educational materials, offers, or other connections to independent third-party businesses, professionals, organizations, venues, service providers, or community partners.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, those third parties are independent from Single. Single does not guarantee a third party's products, professional advice, services, availability, results, security practices, or performance.

16. Safety Reports & Account Review

Single may provide tools for reporting conduct that members reasonably believe creates a safety concern or violates community standards. A report does not automatically establish wrongdoing.

Single may review available information, consider the seriousness and credibility of allegations, identify potentially abusive or retaliatory reporting, and take temporary or permanent measures when reasonably appropriate.

Measures may include warnings, interaction restrictions, removal from Discovery, temporary restriction from Single Mingles, suspension, termination, or other safety measures.

17. Account Restriction, Suspension & Termination

Single may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account or particular feature when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, address fraud or misuse, protect members or third parties, investigate credible safety concerns, comply with legal obligations, enforce eligibility or verification requirements, or protect the integrity, security, or operation of Single.

18. Evolving Features & Service Availability

Single is an evolving platform. Features may be introduced, modified, tested, paused, replaced, or discontinued. Access to an experimental, beta, promotional, or future feature does not create a permanent entitlement unless Single expressly agrees otherwise.

Single does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

19. Intellectual Property

Single™, Arlen™, Single Mingles™, associated names, logos, branding, software, designs, interfaces, written materials, original content, and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Single and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, sell, license, republish, reverse engineer, scrape, commercially exploit, or create unauthorized derivative uses of Single's proprietary materials or technology.

20. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Single and its services are provided on an “as available” basis.

Single does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free technology, specific personal outcomes, successful relationships, matches, event availability, third-party performance, or that information provided by members or generated through technology will always be complete or accurate.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Single LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or relating to use of Single, member interactions, third-party services, or participation in experiences.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Single's aggregate liability arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount the member paid directly to Single during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or $100.

22. Member Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Single LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from third-party claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, unlawful use of Single, infringement of another person's rights, fraudulent information or content you provide, or misconduct toward another person.

23. Dispute Resolution; Individual Arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

Except for disputes that qualify for small claims court or matters for which applicable law does not permit arbitration, you and Single agree that disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, your membership, or use of Single will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than a lawsuit in court.

Before initiating arbitration, the complaining party must provide the other party written notice describing the dispute and requested resolution and allow at least 30 days for the parties to attempt to resolve the matter informally.

Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis by a recognized arbitration provider under applicable consumer arbitration rules, subject to applicable law.

YOU AND SINGLE AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF, CLAIMANT, OR CLASS MEMBER IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND SINGLE WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY FOR DISPUTES COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT.

24. Virginia Governing Law

These Terms and disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal law or another law that cannot validly be waived or displaced applies.

For disputes not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to jurisdiction in an appropriate state or federal court located in Virginia, subject to applicable law.

25. Electronic Communications & Consent

You agree that Single may provide account, membership, transactional, safety, verification, legal, and service-related communications electronically, including through email, text message, in-app communication, or other electronic means as permitted by law.

Where separate consent is legally required for marketing or promotional communications, acceptance of these Terms alone does not replace that separate consent.

26. Changes to These Terms

Single may update these Terms as the service, law, technology, or business evolves. When a material change requires notice or renewed consent, Single will provide appropriate notice and may require members to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use affected services.

27. General Terms

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with policies and terms expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing your use of Single.

Severability. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

No Waiver. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

Assignment. Members may not transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without Single's permission. Single may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or other lawful business transaction.

Force Majeure. Single is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, subject to applicable law.

Survival. Provisions that by their nature should continue after membership ends—including intellectual-property protections, dispute provisions, limitations of liability, and applicable indemnification obligations—will survive termination.
